Project Description

Piranhas are known for their razor-sharp teeth and aggressive feeding frenzy. There are many cases where people fall victim to a piranha when they enter the water. Little toes often have to suffer. A whole bite has even been taken from a human heel, causing the victim to end up in a hospital. The doctors had to cut a piece out of her stomach to fill the hole in the foot! People, unknowingly, are often the cause of these piranha attacks themselves. By throwing food scraps into the water, the piranhas are lured and people can accidentally find themselves among all those goodies. Nevertheless, residents in the outback bathe daily in water containing piranhas, without being attacked.
